There is a lot of symbolism in this piece (I try to add at least a little symbolism in all my covers in one way or another). One piece of symbolism that might be missed is the falling shoe. The shoe symbolizes the Cinderella story. She has to leave her prince before their relationship can be realized. In the story currently, Fuuko is faced with the problem of having to move away before she can confront the situation with Maya.
