Oh boy, is Eiji making his move? I seriously hope it goes better than what happened with Miharu and Kazuo, although I’m still holding out hope that they’ll get back together and get Yosue’s blessing.

well, guess that answers the discussion of other day. also, i’m thinking these two are very unconscious of how deeply they care for eachother: i can see this being very awkward for both in such different ways when it reaches *that* level, and probably a lot of angst and turmoil is going to occur before they really *know*. reika’s reaction is kinda familiar, as well eiji’s confession in that last panel. i think they’re gonna talk this out very bluntly and embaressed, and probably fumble it and completely lose it, but it’ll work out with life-changing self-awarenessb. this page in particular reminds me a lot of the relationship between tohru and kyo in the ‘fruits basket’ manga. been waiting anxiously for this arc, as you can probably tell x)!

This are my two favorite characters, and I so wish they are happy and together. The final step in this relationship was much awaited.

Agreed. They were the last couple to get together and it took SO LONG for them to even say they liked each other, I can see them being the couple to wait until marriage. Otherwise it would feel too soon, like Fuuko and Hanae (yes, I found them to be too soon. I KNOW it’s not what Gina was trying to do, but it came across to me as “They’re lesbians, so they’re the ones to have sex soonest because gays are loose, right?” Again I KNOW Gina’s not like this but that’s the unfortunate stereotype).
These two are my most favorite characters and love story. I see it more as sweet than sexual. It reminds me of my hubby and I when we were dating. The sheer enjoyment of being near the one you love. I don’t know what’s in store for them but they are still growing up and hopefully will learn that they have everything they need in one another.
Brings back memories for me… most of them painfull, but a few of them good. =)

I also love this couple, love how real they seem, admitting that kind of thing especially with his personality isn’t easy but it sets the stage for a very intimate moment between the two where they can appreciate what they have together.
I imagine this is gonna help Reika help him out a bi, realize that there are things he wants to say and do but is too she to start. Kindda like when shed bring him lunch when he didn’t have any without him satin a word I think it’s part of what makes them what thy are, that often unspoken understanding they have. It’s just that sometimes things do need to be said and or done

I just hope Reika doesn’t overreact, and Eiji’s willing to respect her boundaries…which the last line implies. Waiting with bated breath for Monday’s update!

Wait, she’s sitting between his legs, and she’s surprised he makes a move??? Naive….
That was my initial impression as well. But this could end in four ways ways
1)His, “I just want to hold you, Matsuo.” is literally all he wants to do and Matsuo gets it. They start snugglin and talk about something – their relationship, college or family, Eiji’s left foot’s second toe – briefly. Then they either get interrupted or start making out.
2)Whether his “IJWTHYM” is literal or not, Reika FREAKS and the scene ends in a huffy manner. Later, Miharu and Reika have “the talk”.
3)Eiji’s “IJWTHYM” is his startup line for “BOUNDS – GOD, FINALLY” edition. Reika doesn’t freak but denies his advances.
4)BOUNDS – GOD,FINALLY edition happens.
I vote on 1.
If she is sitting between his legs casually and is just excited to have a place to sit and read shoujo, which is what it looks like, nothing is gonna happen.
Why does he still call Reika by her last name?
I have a feeling he’ll be saying her first name soon.
I always saw it as a term of endearment, like calling a boy by his last name in the states. That’s what he called her before so that’s what he is calling her now, and maybe he has been too nervous to make the transition into something more intimate? Though I don’t see why he would since she uses his first name.
FINALLY!! Gosh, this is my favorite couple throughout the entire series. They’re finally going to get the side comic they deserve!!!! XD

Well, many smutty shoujo series have titles like that. XD It isn’t too surprising, really… that’s the joke, though, is that it’s a shoujo manga and Eiji’s a guy who’s reading it. (Shoujo mangas do often have suggestive titles, especially if they’re really fluffy/kind of smutty, so this isn’t really so surprising). However, yeah, I do get the joke… ha, ha. There is a mature Tokyo Mew Mew doujin with the same name on the web somewhere, actually. XD
Oh. I thought the shoujo series Eiji reads was named that because lots of comics in Japan are named after desserts. I didn’t know there was intended to be a more suggestive slant to it in the manga-verse. Or in the Red-String-verse? The mangaverse in the Red-String-verse on the web in the–

Not supposed to be more suggestive in the Red String-verse. It’s just supposed to be a super sweet manga book (like “Cookie” or others with desert food titles).
It would be awesome with a f-figments with them with third base at most. It would suite this couple better than all the way at first chance like miharu and kazuo
