Sorry for the radio silence on Monday.. We just got our internet hooked up today at our new house. It took way longer than anticipated, but the workroom will be set up tomorrow (including my art desk and scanner), so I should have a page for you for Wednesday's update. Thank you so much for your patience! Moving while pregnant is hard work!

Work, moving, & more.

I figured it was time to give everyone an update on things going on behind the scenes at Red String. First up, the Omnibus books are now available for pre-order through our online store. Those of you who wanted to use paypal or a check/money order can now do so! You even get a discount for ordering your books early.

Next, comic work. As you know, I took the week off in between chapters to work on the bonus comic for the Omnibus book. That is coming along well. I am penciling and inking as much as I possibly can so I can get that done and the books off to the printer. Next week I will be back to work on regular Red String pages and what a rollercoaster that next chapter will be! Also, I am finishing up the Riding Hood chapter this month, so that will free up a lot of time for me to focus solely on Red String.

Finally, it looks like we are really actually factually going to be closing on our house next week! It's been a LONG time coming and we are so ready (and excited) to get into our new domicile. We hope this will be the last move we make for a very long time. However, that means updates might be a bit slower or late for a week or so while we make the transition. I don't want to miss any more updates, but everything in the universe seems to be converging all at once! Maybe just to get it all out of the way so we can finally relax, huh?

Comic Work

Here is an update to my last post on major projects! As each finishes up, the more time I will have to dedicate to the other projects.



Erstwhile - Snow White & Rose Red: Completed today!



Filthy Figments - Riding Hood 2: 11 pages to complete. If I can keep up the pace, I should be able to finish it up by the end of May or mid-June.



Red String - Kickstarter omnibus books: I am currently working on getting the rest of the bonus material together for Omnibus Book 1 (book 2 is completed). I have to script and illustrate the bonus comic and get a few more extra illustrations in to finish.



Red String - The series: will get more and more attention as these other projects clear up. I should be able to maintain a three page a week schedule on that for a while, hopefully through the finale of the series. And I will be working in the background to get my new comic series ready to go for when Red String ends.





Also, as long as everything remains smooth we will probably be closing on our new (first) house next week. That means we'll be moving, so there will probably be a small pause in updates while we make the transition. I'll keep you updated on that as things develop. The pregnancy is going well. I am currently 20 weeks in (half-way there)! Found out it's going to be a boy this time around!
